Vent Window Weatherstrips
« on: February 17, 2019, 10:17:17 AM »
I am finishing the restoration of my vent windows from my 64.5 Coupe.  My question is in regards to the surround and and division bar weatherstrips and how they mate.  Photo 1195 show the area where the two weatherstrips meet at the top with the division bar not against the vent surround frame and 1195A shows the held together.  Photos 1196 & 1196A show the bottom of the vent in similar fashion.  Should the weatherstrips mate as shown, or is something out of place or does something get trimmed?  My before photos do not show this detail.
Thanks.
Phil

The division channel strip fits into the lower slot of the V gasket.

Is that a repro gasket?  Looks way short.

Charles, Thanks!  Somewhat disappointed I did not figure that out.  Yes they are aftermarket weatherstrips, and they fit together fine.
