All of the pop rivets on 01375  rear were standard aluminum (not black).

But, what color is the tail light sheet-metal panel supposed to be?
The PO decided to spray the entire interior of the trunk (and elsewhere) with non-factory black of various shades. He sprayed the taillight sheet metal panels with a decidedly shiny black paint. You can see scratch marks under the paint, so I know it's been resprayed. I think it should just be a semi-gloss black.

Tail light panel behind the Shelby added panel and from the trunk side (back side of tail light panel) would have been body color. Just like a 67 Mustang it started out as  Shelby just cut/drilled holes in the panels> Hope I understood your question clearly

I didn't phrase that very well, did I?

I meant the Shelby add-on tail light panels/shields/add-on thingies.

Bill, Mine were satin black, and poorly painted. I also noted that all holes were not riveted.  AMK sells the black 1/2" rivets, but if you have an early flat panel you'll find the pop rivets interfere with flush seating at the top edge. You can file them down a bit, or buy their shorter rivets.

Semi-gloss as mentioned But not the mounting hardware as shown in one of the pictures below

Keith -- Yes, I have a Shelby with the flat fiberglass outside panel. And the rivets have to fit into the small recess of the outside panel at the top. Thanks for the color feedback.

Jeff -- Thank you. That looks semi-gloss.
The first picture is similar to mine in that the Shelby side of the tail light wiring is hidden inside a vinyl tube or sheath.

As always, lots of other details in these pics.
It appears in the second pic (besides the stud and nut being painted and the use of tape rather than shield) that the yellow wire is trapped under the tail light bracket. The black and red wire looks kinked too.

In order to "give back" to this thread, here is a picture I took many, many years ago when my friend owned a GT350 and he had to replace one of his brackets.
He got sent the wrong one, but for some reason I took a picture of both.
So here are the deep and the shallow brackets together.
The paint is too glossy, so ignore that.

That doesn't look like a yellow wire to me but a couple of rust runs - stains from the rust taking place above that point

Bill, some vehicles were wrapped, others tube shielding on the wiring. I had flanged nuts and the bolts were cut off with something that left them pointed and very sharp. Bob Gaines had stated that the 1/4-20 all thread was cut with bolt cutters. It appeared so in my case.

So not a rusty wire? Ok, got me on the rust.

I have heard of a split in production of wrapped with tape versus vinyl tubing.
And my car also uses all-thread and flanged nuts with serrations.
