1966 custom (Q7 Brittany Blue) factory paint
« on: September 22, 2018, 10:46:54 PM »
Anyone hear of a 67 color (Brittany Blue) factory applied to a 1966 production car?  The trim tag is original as are the rivets.

Yes, it is known.  There are other '67 colors used in late '66 production also.

In 1966, Brittany Blue, Code Q, was used on the Thunderbird Line (see attached copy of 1966 FoMoCo Paint Colors). This was "opened up" to the Ford, Fairlane, Falcon and Mustang Line in 1967 under the same name, and Lincolns as "Huron Blue", and Mercury, Comet and Cougar Lines as "Glacier Blue", all with the same Code Q, and Basic Part Number of 1624 (see attached 1967 FoMoCo Paint Colors).
