Hood to cowl gap
« on: May 29, 2018, 04:29:44 PM »
I seem to have to much gap between the hood and cowl panel. On page 17-03-19 of the body assembly manual the gap should be .16. I am closer to .30
The front of the hood is flush with the headlight buckets, both without the mouldings attached. Should the hood be moved back to compensate for the varying thickness of the hood and headlight mouldings ?

Thanks,
John

Unless the fenders can both be moved back a fraction I would install the trim and take another look at the edging edges. You can't fudge that much without it being very noticeable IMHO and you may have to live with s slightly larger gap than you would like to. Consider the assembly manual measurement a guide not the end all for your solution
