Mine have some pits and I'm looking to get them rechromed.  I suppose I will need to separate the bulb assembly where the posts are peened over, in addition to removing the lens. 

I did not look closely at the electrical connection, perhaps I can disassemble the guts and leave the zinc plated part and get the whole thing chromed?

If I separate the parts, when reassembling should I use epoxy, or go ahead and weld it?  The base diameter is pretty good sized so another thought is that I could also possibly go with a 4-40 tap and screw it together.

Any recommendations?
