The link I sent you in PM IS for used a 289, it has the C3OE casting on the nose-cone, that fits a 289 auto trans.
The C5AF starter you are looking at is for a big block. You misunderstood me I believe.

Need to look than for a starter (nose) stamped C3XXXXX, 2-bolt mounting (289, A/T).
