Top Loader rods and levers

Is the Branda rod and lever assembly for a Top Loader (T/L) of concours quality?

I'm about ready to pop on a Ford 67 shifter case and wonder if I should buy the Branda rods and levers or the less than perfect originals I'm being offered. I'm not even sure the rods are correct as I thought by 67 the T/L rods no longer had part numbers on them.
I see only one complete part number visible as a C6OA-7326-A -- the other rod has C6OA-xxx28-x.
The numbers on the levers are C6OR-7290-C, C4ZR-7C165-A and C6OR-7285-D.

The levers won't have the engineering numbers, but otherwise, the rest is acceptable.  I'm not sure what the finishes are, so they may need to be re-worked.

Those offered by NPD and Branda are the same. I did have mine done phosphate. They're only an issue if you have a big block vehicle. ( Reverse rod)

Bill Healey restores factory shifters as well as has some of the more scarce items. If you want Ford shift rods, Bill may have a set. He restored my Shelby's shifter.  No longer feels like a mop handle in a bucket.

Bill's rebuilt shifter box looks good.

I'm not really to the transmission part of the restoration, but an ad popped up and here I am.

I may have to rethink this and instead of buying a used shifter box and having it rebuilt (or me doing it) just buy one already done. I don't think I can buy, replate and rebuild it for the cost of one already done.

Bill ,does excellent work.I have heard that he does not plate his parts anymore . Instead he paints them. That may not matter to you but thought I would mention it so that you have realistic expectations. If it does matter you may want to ask.

Jim Cowles also rebuilds/restores shifter parts and does the correct plating.

It's for the concours car, so yes, it matters.

That resolves that matter -- buy the one in the ad, tear it apart and plate it.
Buy the real rods.
