1966 mustang grill finish
« on: December 05, 2017, 06:06:31 AM »
Was the original finish on the '66 grill(non-gt) all black, or were the horizontal bars left unpainted?

the edges of the bars were not painted on a non GT. the area behind the corral was blacked out though.

Just to clarify, the fins behind the horse/corral would not be scraped/cleaned, they would be left black.  This is real easy to replicate.  Paint the grille, then install the horse/corral.  Use a razor blade to remove paint from the fins, up to the edge of the corral.

Thanks.....that explains why I see so many with the edges of the horizontal bars unpainted.

                                                        Thanks!
