Radiator Date Stamp
« on: August 08, 2017, 07:58:15 PM »
Need some input on reading the date stamp. 9 J D. Sept 1969, Week 4? or is D a plant code?

If it were "plant" then IMHO it would refer to the supplier since Ford didn't make radiators during this period. So could be the maker or plant identifier of that supplier.

Looking at radiators I have pictures for from Dearborn and NJ cars I have letters so far  A, B, C, D, E

The week idea appears to be a possibility

Yes it represents week sometimes there are 5 in a month.  Sometimes we see carb bodies and tags with the 5th week E as well.
