Heater Cable Tie

I removed the heater control assembly on my Dearborn built 65 Fastback with an estimated build date of September 2, 1964.  I noticed this aluminum cable tie wrapped around the cables near the heater control assembly.  The heater control assembly and cables are believed to be original factory items (2 speed heater).  Do you think this cable tie was installed at the factory?

Yup. Ford p/n FAA-18954-A. They were used on 64-70 Fords in various quantities, or were supposed to. AMK carries them. You will find them referenced in the Mustang Hardware Spreadsheets and on the Mustangs Electrical Assembly Manuals.
