Looks like you got one of the odd ones. We see this pop up from time to time in production. Not sure why they have the plastic bottoms nor why there were so few made/installed

I've been looking for a decent original for a while now, almost had my hands on one a couple times but then turned out the sellers didn't actually have the correct one or couldn't find it. If it ever comes up that someone wants to sell a decent one that can be cleaned up, I would love to purchase it.
