Learned something new today.  I had no idea the AC drip line hose for '66 was so different from the '65.  Very strange that Ford went back to a smooth rubber hose style drip line in '67 and later versions of the AC.  Perhaps the corrugated plastic / rubber tube in '66 wasn't durable?
I'm not so sure that things changed in 67, but we are drifting off the topic year more and more.  Here is a pic of a very original car I took apart. 7F01C129xxx.  AC was all original down to the FoMoCo belt.

Sorry for not adding the year  :-[  I thought 65-66 hoses were the same.  Interesting though why they didn't put the cover on 66's.  They reproduce the cover for 65's why not the right hose as well?  I remember you had to hunt down those side hose covers for awhile there...

Just a follow up, the PCV hose worked well as a replacement for the drain hose on my 65.  The length and bends worked great.  Just had to take a dremel bit and make the whole bigger on the side that connected to the actual unit as the nipple is a little bigger.  Also took some acetone and got rid of the Ford logo and part number.

Both of my Dearborn built '65's had the same Drain Hose that you pictured as well as a small piece of Rubberized Fabric with a hole in the center through which you fed the Hose; it went between the carpet and the tunnel and a piece on the end that I have no name for. I couldn't find a photo of the Rubberized Fabric piece.

I'm looking for an original replacement Hose as well; the one pictured is very supple but someone cut the end off...shame.

So I had a little issue trying to remove the drain hose out of my car.  I didn't realize there was a bend at the other end and it broke since the hose is so hard.  I assume it might be original.  Correct me if I am wrong.  Anyways, what is the best way to fix this or what would be the best solution for a replacement?  The reproduction hoses I believe are not correct.  Again correct me if I am wrong.  This one has  some ribbed lines in it.  It almost looks like the hose that goes from the air cleaner to the oil filler cap on the closed emission system cars with a DSo in Cali.

The material reminds me of the drain hoses for the quater vents in my '68 fastback. I can't remember if they are ribbed or not, and my photos aren't clear enough to tell.

Found an old photo of the Rubberized Fabric Piece that's part of the '65 Dearborn Built AC Drain Hose.

What do you think that rubberised fabric piece was for? Was the hole in it a tight fit to the hose maybe creating a better seal?

I was speculating upon a possible source for material that could could be used to create a replacement hose if no proper reproduction is available.

Not picking on you or your post at all - just a combined observation from the multiple 67 and other plant post (as often happens) in the thread :)
