68 GT500 Project?
« on: January 09, 2018, 11:47:08 PM »
I found this picture of a 68 GT500 that needed a little TLC. LOL
BTW I did judge this car after some one put way too much in to it.

Good lord, what happened to it?  You said it used to be a show car?  Was it a stunt double for Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds??  ;D
Too much junk, too little time.

Looked at a 67 GT500 in an undergound garage a few years back. Evidence found during the inspection indicated a similar impact that produced the replacement of drivers side fender, door, quarter panel and other supporting body panels

I had a friend that went to look at it when it was for sale. He was told the car was regularly treated to some Dukes of Hazard type of driving. No surprise that the engine was blown as well.
A couple of years latter I judged the car at a local show and latter talked with the owner and was stunned to find out it was that car.
