Topic: Brake Booster Vacuum Line Clamps

What would be the correct brake booster vacuum line clamps for a Dearborn built Fastback?  Approximate build date is September 1964. 

Here's the vacuum hose connected to the hard line from the manifold.

Per the 64-65 Mustang Chassis Manual, page 17, you need two ea 376428-S8 clamps. They are available from NPD in a 4 pack, 376428-S, $4.00. Be advised, unless you are really good, you need a special crimping tool as well, NPD 934-1 $16.95.
The clamp part number was available in the Library in a spreadsheet for 64-66 Mustang hardware, and in the above assembly manual. You might consider getting a set of manuals for your car's year.

Glad I could help. What surprises me is how many hardware questions are answered in the spreadsheets I made a long time ago (over 20 years). Of course, being I put the info in the spreadsheet, I knew where to look. And if you don't have a set of Assembly manuals, you should get a set, if only to make notes.

The clamps are no longer available from NPD.  I checked Virginia Classic Mustang and CJ Pony Parts web sites with no luck.  Anybody know where I can get these clamps?

Try AMK. That's where most of those other sellers get theirs so it's possible.

If they are the same size as the 67/68 version then I have some. I think they are but not sure. FYI mine don't have the funky dimple in the clamp like all modern ones now have. That is another way to tell assemblyline from replacement. PM me if you find out.

I checked Jim's hardware sheets in the library and the power brake vacuum booster clamps are the same for 64 through 68 so I'm in luck.  I see what you are talking about regarding the dimple in the clamp.  PM sent.
