Hi guys,
I want to share with you what it looks very extrange to me.
There's a car for sale in Spain mainland, it is a Hardtop 200 Inline 6 car but has the VIN F5F09C719106A (see attached pic), which is rare to me to see those letters Fand A in the beginning and at the end (?) and most important is because that VIN corresponds to a Fastback 2bbl car..!! Don't know what happened there.?
So why a Hardtop 200cid car has the VIN of a 289 C code car..? Very strange.!!
Have spoken with the seller and they say that same number is casted on the apron, strange, uh.?
There's no data plate in the door, so no way to compare, but I have told them to check for the other apron's VIN and see if they match. I don't think this is a mistake made in the line of production, looks another thing to me, and doesn't smells good.! The matter is this car has passed Customs is Spain with no issues.! They have said to keep me informed on what they find on the other apron, let's see...
I see some issues on this car like the 5 instrument gauge cluster and maybe door panels are not correct. Also there are no bumper guards, etc.. but they sell it to restore, so until here, OK..
