Carburetor spacer - 66 T Code

Hi guys,

As you all probably know, I'm installing again a Thermactor system to my car.
I have found a problem when going to put the carburetor again in place (Holley 1940), the spacer is hitting the rear tube air injector, so I need to raise the carburetor 8.5-9mm. Maybe this spacer is not the right one for my application, because the shape of it is not compatible with the smog, so, the were different carb spacers for Thermactor epuipped cars and non-Thermactor..? If so, which one would be the correct one..?
See the picture attached, if I cut around the red marks, it will fit in place, but I don't like to cut original parts so, any thoughts..?
I know there are 1/2" and 1/4" phenolic raisers that can maybe do the job, specially the 1/4" in combination with a couple of gaskets, as I don't want to raise too much so I can not then close the hood.!

Brian, this is exactly like the one I have, but due to air injectors, I need to raise the carb some 9mm more, otherwise, it hit the tubes.. in fact, just one of the tubes. Maybe I haven't done correctly and the tubes should go deeper into the head through the ferrules..

Can anyone out there illuminate me with this matter...?

Need advise on why my SMOG air injector tubes interfere with the carburetor spacer.?
I think I have done the installation correctly, the tubes goes onto the ferrules until the tapered end, so they can't go deeper, but they are some 9mm higher and can not put the carburetor again, the only solution I see is adding a spacer. Anyone here with a I6 200 Thermactor that can post some pics on how is yours mounted.?
