NOS 65 rocker panel moldings
« on: October 10, 2016, 11:27:25 PM »
I am looking for an NOS pair of rocker panel moldings, and clips if possible, to replace the repops on my '65 K-code fastback. Any leads greatly appreciated.

Since you never received any formal "welcome" in almost 2 years, welcome to the site. I'm not sure where you are located but guessing somewhere in the central time zone. (may make a difference where you live on what help to offer since these are awkward to ship)

Last several years and until I eventually bought a pair for my 67, I saw many 65-66 ones available time-to-time on eBay (not always as a pair). Since I was looking for 67-68, I didn't pay them much mind. My takeaway on this is just keep looking on the Fee-Bay and you should find a set. Another option is to attend a local "Ford-Only" swapmeet. I know there is one coming up in Columbus Ohio Thanksgiving weekend, it happens Thanksgiving weekend every year for about +30 years now. Another in the Spring in Columbus and next June in Carlisle Pa. There are usually regional ones elsewhere in the country too (though I am not familiar with most of those, there used to be one in Pomona Ca.)

Curious what you will pay for these. I had been looking for about a year for a set, and ended up paying $300. I thought it was a little high but they are immaculate as well as the clips all being there. One pair I had been watching on eBay went for $425 back in the spring.  My have times changed.. :o
