Topic: 69 mach1 hood black out dimensions

I am looking for an original 69 dearborn mach1 hood with the original paint still on it to take some measurements of the stripe size and location.  For example the measurements between the edge of the hood to the stripe (side to side) and the front peak, , the stripe to the blackout If anyone has photos of one with the needed measurements documented I would appreciate it. There are several diagrams out there and all are conflicting. I am looking for a documented off the car measurement.

Have some detailed pictures of original hood black out details but sorry - no measurements were taken or scale included in the picture.

Hi 69 folks,
I am repainting the hood blackout on a 69 Mach 1 and would like some pictures of an original paint car that show the layout of the front of the hood to figure out the correct radius on the left/right sides. Measurements would also be great if possible.

Should be able to search the web for the Mustang Monthly article from 20 years ago what had a templet for the radius and other details (including the original paint code. In addition some additional details are included in the 69 Assembly Manual

Don't know if this will help you or not. 10 years ago at an MCA Nat's in Johnson City,TN, I was fortunate enough to be able to take some photos with a 35MM camera of an original paint 69 Mach 1. Here are some photos of the black out on the hood with pin stripes. These photos are 4x6 and I took them about 12-15 " away from the hood surface.
