67 A/C compressor clutch
« on: April 03, 2016, 08:48:32 PM »
Would the a/c compressor clutch/flywheel have a engineering number on it for a assembly line part in 67 ? I thought I saw them on other year parts but don't know about 67.

I have seen ink stamped on some applications which leads me to believe that others may be that way too. Service ones many times will have paper stickers.

Thanks Bob. I found this stamping on the back side of the clutch.  :)

Actually I was referring to the plated silver hubs. I am not sure how the black ones were marked other then white paper stickers I have seen on service hubs.

That is not a engineering number.

While having my clutch apart for a repaint it occurred  that maybe the drive plate below might have been finished with phosphate and oil and not painted because of the electromagnetic properties of the part and seemingly that  painting could interfere with that or were they all just painted ?   ::)
