1969 Interior Door Painted Portion
« on: March 31, 2016, 02:40:25 PM »
1969 Fastback
December 1968 Dearborn built fastback standard black interior

What portion of the interior of the door surrounding the door panel should be painted the interior color?  Out to the weatherstrip?

On a black interior should the painted portion on the door be black or dark charcoal?

Thanks in advance!

Thought we had covered this in a past thread but guess it was just Deluxe/Mach I doors

Just the lower section of the door as shown in the pictures

Out to the weatherstrip?

No as the pictures show. BTW applied before the exterior color as usual

Here are a few examples. Not real pretty but at least their not restored ;)
As you can see on a number of the examples the top back edge is angled down not straight back

Dark Charcoal like pretty everything else that gets painted inside
