1967 door jam courtesy light switch

  Would the door jam switch for an early 67' (Early Nov. built in Metuchen), have had the white plastic door switches?? And would these have the AUTOLITE logo in the white plastic mold? Also, I have tilt wheel which was originally a metal switch. Was this correct also??? Rounded type plunger or flat end?? Thanks !!!

  Here's why i was asking about the tilt...  My car was nearly all original when we picked it up in 79', though well used. It had a metal switch for the tilt which for me, was an easy identifier of which was for the light vs tilt..

As you can see by this ad it says before 11/14/66 My car was built on 11/17/66.  Guess it would be a safe bet that it was metal from day 1??

Plastic interior light switch with black button/center

Tilt activator metal base (with two flat edges) and round black button/center as shown below

  Thanks Jeff.. That might be hard to find NOS?? I dont think the repro metal switchs have flat edges and the ones i am seeing have a flat plunger..

Don't know - never looked for them. Guess your either lucky or not. Would look towards the T-bird and Cougar places/guys since the percentage of cars with that option increases allot

Also, the plunger is slightly longer than the normal door jam switch for the interior accessory lights. At one time I had several of these switches but it would take me awhile to dig through my stuff to find one.

Thanks for that Pete. I have found a few NOS examples on ebay but they are quite expensive. At least I know the part number to do a more detailed search.. Stupid me, when I first started restoring the car I threw out much of the original parts for newer repro stuff.. What a mistake.. live and learn.

Just curious what you are seeing that you consider as quite expensive?

 One switch is $45 with shipping, the other is $62 with shipping in an older FoMoCo box..Little too much for me right now as i have other projects that need more attention. Might run across one at Carlisle this year?
