'69 windshield trim screw
« on: March 02, 2016, 06:11:49 PM »
OK guys I have another dumb question. The screw that attaches the lower stainless trim on windshield shows to be a slotted hex washer screw with P&O finish (S2) in the assembly manual. I could only find 1 picture of an unrestored car that Jeff had posted a few years back showing a phillips head screw.

I just noticed today my restorer put a hex washer screw and I'm pretty sure it is not correct. Any thoughts? ( April 7th Dearborn )

Washer head hex screw, like that is consistent with what I see on Dearborn cars in 1969.

I'm thinking P&O finish would rust pretty quickly. I would have thought chrome or stainless screw. Any thoughts which would be correct?

your c9zz moulding tab should be squared off on a 69  & dozz rounded off tab like your pic in 70 .
