Or possibly 3M Double Sided Mounting Tape ? It's only about 1/16" (1.6 mm) thick, and would hold better than the magnet tape. Granted, you may have to also use the 3M adhesive Remover to clean off the residue if you removed it, but no holes.

That's a great idea too but, with all those solutions I'm wondering from were the light takes the negative connection. I can only see one wire going out from the light (?). Thought it took from screws in the lid, by the contact.

Josep : You are absolutely correct; the screw is where they get the ground connection. So, unless you are the owner of some "invisible wires", you'd need some kind of a clip or "pin prick" device (screw point or something like that) to make the ground; either of which would probably scratch the paint.
I guess that's one of the purposes of these Forums; to "kick things around" and bring up things which may have been forgotten or not thought of in a Reply.
Personally, I have no problem in adding an Accessory item to my cars, as long as they are Genuine Ford, and can be documented as being available for the year car in question.

Thanks for the point Bob. I thought I was missing something LOL..!!
Yeah, it's a matter of everyone, on one hand you have that it was not accessoried from origin, or maybe later, and on the other hand, it's an original Ford accessory time correct for my car so....

As far as grounding - if used and installed for a show you wouldn't want it on and working anyway runnign down the battery - beside battery is often disconnect at shows .
