1969-70 Automatic shifter buckets or housings, as Ford called them (C9ZZ-7A306-A).
Two different versions, with small and large pawl for gear selection. By checking the chrome shift lever, it is easy to destinguish between the 1969 small pawl version, and the large pawl version found around the beginning of 1970.
The 1969 pawl measures 0.100" inches, and the large pawl at 0.160" inches.
Mixing lever assemblies and cast aluminum buckets can result in excessive play when in PARK, or being unable to 'latch' the PARK position.
These shifter buckets appear to be dated with a Julian 1-3 digit number, followed with a single number of 8, 9, or 0, for the year.
