I'm presently restoring a 69 Shelby convertible, built mar 69, and the upper shock mounts do not have the washers welded on them as do the 68 Shelby's, is this correct ?
This car is very original and I don't believe these would have been changed ...but who knows ??

Its possible that one slipped through but if your restoring the car I would suggest you add them as that is the way Ford wanted them to be and proving that yours are original and lack that feature would be difficult IMHO

Also judges will expect them to be there

One question would immediately be - Does the car have the original front shocks in place?

Jeff,
what would the finish be on the shock towers after they modified at the factory with a washer?  Were they p&o with a washer tacked on? Or were they shot with paint?

Finish was semi-gloss black
