Rod Bearings
« on: June 10, 2010, 11:51:18 AM »
Hey guys,
Just took off the rear main cap to replace the main seal on my Mar 1966 Metuchen C-Code Convt.  The present seal was the old rope type.
I suspected that this engine has never been apart.  I removed the bearing from the main cap and
here's what I found.  Would y'all agree that this is an original, at Ford assembly part?

There was no indication that I should replace all the bearings, but if anyone has a set of these, I may be interested!

It's obviously an OEM Ford bearing.  As to whether or not it's original, I suppose there's a very good chance it is, but I wouldn't stick my neck out and say absolutely.
