Hello, I recently purchased a 1969 Mach 1 and then found this forum which to date has been a good resource in understanding and enjoying these cars.
This is the first Mustang I have owned. When I saw it advertised and given that it was within 25 miles of my home, I was struck!
Details: 1969 Mach 1 with a reported 22755 original miles. I cannot find any evidence that the miles are not true, but cannot absolutely verify. The car is basically well maintained and babied. It has original paint, interior and driveline. Other than maintenance items the cars appears to have it's 'born with' components. The exception to this is the radio which is MIA, replaced with a early Jenson cassette player.
The car is a Metuchen built on 12-20-68, delivered as a sold order to Jericho Motors in Mineola, NY. The options are correct according to the Marti report, H code, FMX, PS PDB, A/C and tinted glass. 9T02M152094
What I don't have is any valuable owner information. It was delivered in NJ. There is a oil change sticker on the door dated in early 1980 with 17500 miles from a Gulf Station in Marietta Ohio. Both of these dealers are long out of business according to my research.
The car was tendered to Barrett Jackson by Fraiser Dante in Atlanta for the spring auction in Palm Beach in 2007. That buyer is who I bought the car from. Anyone who may know any history of this car? I would be more than anxious to hear from you!
