1970 shelby am/fm radio

would a 70 shelby use the 69 am/fm or would it have been updated with the 70 version (mustang on face)

The cars were built in 1969. It would have a 1969 radio

The only thing Ford was concerned about changing was things that they had to (for emissions ) and the outside cosmetics to make it look different at a nominal cost (stripes and front spoiler) . They only additions on the inside was the choke cable addition and the sticker indicating it's usage (GT500) as well as the 70 version Mustang tire sticker applied to the passenger door area (all).

allright  ! thanks guys-  good reason to remove my 70 scratchy am/fm. - i'll look for a good '69 version.   june grabber blue 70 gt500
