Topic: Reusable Loctite?

From time to time I KNOW I've seen certain fasteners (nothing to do with classic Mustangs) come with a semi-hard blue loctite already applied and those fasteners could be adjusted later. However, Loctite's website is BEYOND useless. Can anyone point me in the direction of a threadlocker that can be adjusted / reused without applying heat? (low to medium strength) It seems like the stuff I've seen on fasteners is more like a semi-hard paste, as opposed to the liquid like in Loctite 243 or similar product.

I assume you mean "removable", not "reusable"? Once you've assembled the joint and taken it back apart, you must apply new thread locker. 243 (blue) is a good choice for joints that you want to disassemble with hand tools. Higher strength formulations like 263 require heat to take apart, although I've found that methanol will break it loose without heat.

Actually, I did literally mean reusable (not removable). It's a semi-hard paste-like loctite product that I know exists because I've used it. However, I say Loctite's website is nearly useless because I cannot readily locate this reusable product. To be fair (to loctite), I suppose it's possible that the product I'm thinking of is made by one of loctite's competitors such as Permatex.

I've got a kit I bought several years ago, it has all of the flavors of Loctite equipped in chapstick/lipstick-style tubes.

The actual Loctite in the kit is a smearable paste, almost like candle wax.
