It is funny, my family has owned this car for almost 50 years.  I am replacing Accelerator pump diaphragm and started cleaning the outside of carb and noticed this.  Probably everyone else has seen this before but original factory marking on chock thermostat.  Just thought someone might want this for a detail item. Kind of fun...car assembled in late april 1966.

Thanks for the post.

nice detail that normally gets missed when carbs are restored as most people don't take the time to clean parts correctly and then don't take pictures of the area.

my unrestored 32000 mile 66 Dearborn car has a yellow check mark where yours has the green one.

Interesting and wonder what color difference was?  Our car has 78,5XX on it but motor has really not been worked on much.  When was your built?

Thanks and lets keep looking for hidden gems!

Probably something to do with the thermostatic choke setting.  Most I have seen were yellow markings.

It is interesting because car is Dark Ivy Green...my parents special ordered the car, wondered if someone at plant was playing ajoke or something since car is green? Probably not but interesting......
