68 1/2 BATCH PAINT - Dearborn
« on: November 06, 2015, 01:24:45 PM »
Since Ive never had anything but Metuchen 68s Im curious what parts on a Dearborn built 68  might have the slop grey batch paint rather than the black -  I know 69s have a lot of batch paint

Jim have seen this question come up a number of times over the years on this site and others like the CJ forum. Not aware of any sheet metal parts that received batch paint from the factory.

OK  i looked and finally found my notes when  I looked at Bob  Perkins low mileage 68 Dearborn car years back   batch paint on almost the same stuff that was on 69s.  hood support.  grille support,  bumper arms inners , coil spring guards. export braces   very dark batch but definitely batch.  Crap, i had it all done in dipped black   ;D
