64.5 Heater box nuts, anyone have a picture?
« on: October 28, 2015, 09:53:02 PM »
Since it has been 12 years since I took the heater out of my car I can't recall what the nuts looked like that hold the box to the firewall. I have the motor in but I'm talking about the nuts on the engine side of the firewall.

Found these on NPD's website, made by AMK. Is this correct?

The only marking on the nut is the manufacturer's logo, "PAL", as in Palnut, there are no other markings. That is from originals. The AMK nuts are very close to originals, although the logo is partially filled in with something (heavy plating?), so it's very faint. I have an AMK set still in the bag. They do have a part number - 370546-S100 (-S100 is with sealer). AMK sell them with and without the sealer.

Your spray sealant is going to cover much if not the whole nut anyway. But understand wanting them to be correct before you "hide" them ;)
