Carpet Installation
« on: October 17, 2015, 12:02:06 PM »
Can somebody please confirm if the carpet is installed before the shifter assembly on a C4 automatic.  I'm wondering if the carpet goes between the shifter housing and trans tunnel sheet metal or between the housing and the shifter bezel.  This would be for a 69 Dearborn car.

Thanks,

Shifter installed first, then carpet, then bezel (or console)

Thanks guys, that is the way I did it but the carpet seams so loose under the bezel made me stop and think.
