« on: August 16, 2015, 12:46:29 AM »
Hi all,
Was the washer bag in the same position on all 64 1/2 to 66's?

Short answer - No

And remember not all were installed at the factory, which helped contribute to the answer above :)

Thanks guys.
So were there two washer bag bracket sizes? If so which one and what placement would be correct for a Sept 64 SJ car please? Any pics Jeff?

From my notes, the same bag bracket (B9BA-17651-A) was used for 1964 and 65, it changed in 1966 (C6OB-177651-A). The difference I believe, is the 64-65 has two mounting holes, the 66 has a third in the between the two, function possibly for welding, or alignment.

The dealer installed version was a different size than what was typically installed at the plants. Just another variation in the pattern

Of course dealer installed will effect the possible placement also
