65 - 289 -Fuel Pump Bolts Head Markings
« on: June 19, 2015, 07:42:01 PM »
Hi everyone,

Do someone knows what are the head markings for the original fuel pump bolts for the 65 Mustang, 289 ? Build date before April, 1965.

Thank you,

They should have a 3/16 inch tall "R" in the center of two circles. What I've found is p/n 359081-S8, 3/8-16X1 3/8 bolt with a quad ribbed washer. It is not available from AMK.

+1. They were used on other years and different engine sizes as well so chances of sourcing some are good.

This appears to match your description perfectly. Is this the correct Bolt?

Virginia Classic Mustang sells fuel pump bolts for 1965. I don't know if they are the same as the one pictured.

Excellent! I removed this one from a 65' C-Code Coupe I restored 15-16 years ago. Been in a box, along with a few hundred other bolts ever since.

Glad to be of help.
