I recently came across a 1966 Metuchen C-Code convertible build in October 1965. It is a two owner car with 25,000 miles on it. It spent most of its life in California. In looking over the car it looks to be all original. Paint, interior, sheet metal, etc. One thing puzzles me: The rocker panel stampings. The driver side is Z 76 L 10 13 3A, and the passenger side is Z 65 R 10 11 3A. I read the numbers as both panels were built in Chicago in early October 1965 but one is for a coupe and one is for a convertible. Can this be correct? Are the rockers interchangeable between the body styles? There is no evidence of body repair or rust under the car and both rocker panel flange blackout treatments match each other. Thank you
