67 Restoration Handbook
« on: May 31, 2015, 12:28:05 PM »
Hi folks,

already bought the FORD Assembly manual, but i am looking for another really good restoration guide/book. I found a lot of "64 1/2 to 70 restoration books" but is there any good book especially for the 67?
Book should include simple things like brakes, interior, suspension, engine and so on.

thanks from germany

HomerJay,
The 64 1/2 - 70 restoration Guide uses Ford service drawings and part numbers. It does not accurately reflect what was done on the assembly line. Get a set of Mustang Assembly Manuals for your year car. The current consensus is the Assembly Manuals are around 90 percent accurate. The subtle differences are mostly between the three plants and also what Ford engineering intended and what was actually done.

We've discussed this a number of times and though there are some helpful publications there is no one good restoration guide. For that reason we've continued to support forums such as this since a printed guide would include old/outdated info and the forums should be the latest and most correct info for your restoration.

IMHO no way to put all the info we have into a printed or even online guide at this point without a giant commitment from allot of different people - with little or no financial compensation for years of work
