Topic: 65 Exhaust Hanger

Hi All,
I'm restoring my wive's 65 V8 convertible built Sept 64 at San Jose and I was looking to get a correct replacement part for her pass side single transverse exhaust hanger as the rubber is perishing but no one seems to have one that looks like it. Just wondering....
A) If it is the correct part to start off with?
B) If I can get a new one?
ans
C) If I can get the pins to restore the one I have?

Any Help here would be great.

I know of where you might get a NOS replacement. Private Message me and I'll tell you where. I had posted it here earlier, but I updated the reply because somebody else might snatch it away before you responded... but I might also consider replacing the rubber only. Scott Fuller was looking into the correct rivets back a few months (January?) and replacement tire sidewall rubber is all you would need. This is assuming the rest of the hanger is good. Just an idea, but even if you replace it, I would hang onto the original one.

Are the reproductions not even close to the originals?  What are good used or even NOS one going for?
