I'm trying to track down the correct economizer for the 2100 carburetor on my '67 289. The carburetor currently on the car isn't the original, and the original tag has been replaced by a generic tag from a rebuilder service. Also, it looks like the body of the carb has been blasted or something, and some of the stamped numbers are missing.
So far, I've been looking in Bob Mannel's book, and I've come up with two possibilities for a carburetor:
--C7DF-F, 2100 2V, with 1.04 venturis, without Thermactor, for automatic transmission
--C7DR-R, 2100 2V, with 1.14 venturis, without Thermactor, for automatic transmission.
Which of these is correct? This is a '67 289, 2V, without Thermactor, with C4 automatic.
Also, should the heater hose have originally routed alongside the carburetor to warm the choke? It's not set up that way now, but again, this isn't the original carburetor to the car.
