Subject: Need to know what OEM '65-'66 Dearborn Convertible Hockey stick nuts look like..

I've seen a few different styles of these, and I think '67 are even different..

Theses are the clip nuts that hold down the stainless steel trim in the rear of the convertible..

What was original??

Tony,
Define "hockey stick" as it applies to convertibles. Even though I played hockey while in college in Massachusetts, I currently grow avocados in California, and am not familiar with where these "sticks" are located.

The chrome strips that bolt to the top of the quarters and trunk.  They basically surround the bottom edge of the top from the quarter windows back.

There are two hockey sticks and one straight stainless strip.  What do I win?   ;D
Too much junk, too little time.

There are 2 styles, one for the outer chrome pieces and one for the stainless center strip.  The ones in the middle have raised tabs so that tightening the studs will not cause a dip, bend in the stainless.  In 67, they went to 2 pieces, both stainless, which if I remember right have the reinforcements made into the moldings.  68 went to no boot snaps, with slide in studs that required nuts to be attached from underneath.  Much cleaner look than earlier cars.

The assembly manual shows different numbers for center and outer clips for 65-66.

Huh...well, That's not the answer that I expected, but Thanks Charles!  It's an answer!...and a good one! It makes a lot of sense!

Anyone know if they Repro the "Raised" type clips???

There's no repro of the raised center clips as far as I know.

Did you check the assembly manual?  It's been a while since I looked at that page, but the info is clearly printed there.
