Hey Guys,

I ran into a date code on a Bell I bought for a 351C build that doesn't seem to be the typical Year-Month-Day type. I did a search on CMF, but didn't see anything but the typical layout.

The Casting is D1TA-6394-AA, with a date "K130". (October 30, 1971?). It also has "CWC" on the starter extension, which I think could designate the foundry, where?? And a "12" near the casting number on the trans mounting flange, and on the inside, near the date code. (Core, or mold number?).

The "T" in the prefix signifies the truck division, so this bell housing is probably for a truck.

Yes, it was used on trucks, the engineering number always shows the vehicle model that it was designed for. But I believe that this was also used on Mustangs.

Can anyone confirm?

My question was about the date code though.

Yes, its truck and cast iron, but it was used on Boss 351.
