COLUMBUS SWAP MEET 1st Saturday in April, 2015
« on: March 16, 2015, 05:18:17 PM »
THIS WEEKEND!!!! April 3 2015!!!

Since MANY people might be going to this swap meet located at the State Expo Center near downtown Columbus Ohio, I wondered who all might be going.

Maybe some of us can meet up!

This might be also a real good opportunity to get some FREE SHIPPING on items we might be willing to bring along for the ride.

My thoughts were if we already knew what we might be hunting, making that known in advance of the event (possibly here, within this thread)  and maybe another member might be able to just bring it along!

For one example, I plan to meet up with a VMF member to pick up a rotor from him. Not a big "cost" savings but nice to put a face to a username too  ;)

I'm bringing along a few items I might be able to barter with, in hopes of off-setting some costs.

Richard, I'll be there and would like to meet with you and others.  How about high noon where they serve food?  John

Several members have mentioned along the way they are going. A few of us have made arrangements to meet at lunch time to help put faces to the usernames.

If you are interested in this gathering while there, PM me back and I'll give you my digits.

Everybody, have a blessed Easter Weekend and just remember...It's NOT about the Easter Bunny and it's NOT about finding the Golden Egg! (though I'll keep an eye out for it) ;)

I am not going to be actually SELLING at the Swap Meet but I have things I can bring along if there might be any interest. I'll be driving a CAR so space is limited and I would only wish to bring anything with SERIOUS interest, especially if it is large. Here are a few things I could fit in:

I HAVE 67 DELUXE SEAT BELTS, All combined, I have about 10 sets!!  (black, dk. blue, ivy gold mostly) Right now, I have them mostly all apart and CLEANED, ready to reassemble, thus I have a few extremely nice sets that can be built from the parts/pieces. Date tags are few and far between though. If interested in any of these, I'll bring only the items of interest.

I HAVE some 67 DELUXE SEATS, including  PLASTIC & STAINLESS TRIM I can bring along. As much as a full set of plastic & stainless with brackets and even a pair of Fr seat cores (no  rear seat cores at all)

A PAIR OF 67 COUPE DOORS FROM CALIFORNIA, unpainted originals, minor bubbling in lower front corners-as usual)

I HAVE A REALLY NICE (chrome and lenses) 67 MUSTANG Deluxe Seat WARNING lamp assembly (under the ign. switch location type)

CONSOLE RADIO BRACKETS 67-8

2- '66 STYLED STEEL WHEELS (I can bring along)

Trust me, after my last eBay situation, I'd much rather move these things by "other means", even if I get less out of them!

I have much more, almost all for 67-8 Mustangs. If you are going, JUST ASK!

THINGS I NEED OR LOOKING FOR:

1.) PS Pressure Hose Bracket, 289 engine, fits on the back of the pump(was there even one there???)
2.) ROTORS! I could use 1 or two original, restorable rotors 65-67...NO HUBS NEEDED!
3.) STRAIGHT riveted OE Styled Steel Wheels~restorable (unbelievable how wobbly mine are!)
4.) Termactor hose support, used on Thermactor cars with factory AC, wraps around the hose, bolts to top of compressor
5.) 66-67 289 factory valve covers, restorable
6.) EARLY 67 style hood harness, restorable
7.) Date coded 10/66 trunk lid, Coupe (I have a date coded 68, from California)
8.) Date Coded 10/66 HOOD, I have a date coded 68, from California
9.) Date coded 10/66 RH fender & RH door I have both with 12/66 codes

Richard, 10 sets of belts?  Seriously?

I really appreciate that.  I can tell my wife, when she points out my collection, that "Well, I have a friend that has..."

Making me look good again :D

Good idea Richard.

I sent a message on the SS wheels, I might have what you need.

I need:

1. 67 driver's side retractable seat belt mechanism.  Blue preferred, black ok.  See pic.

2. Letter "M" for deck lid, very clean original or NOS (with posts)

3. Clean original used fastback deck lid weatherstrip, closed style per pic.  I know, I'm dreaming.

I'll check my seatbelts, mine are all DELUXE style, that buckle end is for the clamshell type. These can be taken apart very easily and swap out the outer plastic if the rest of the webbing is good. Are those a VERY dark blue or is the lighting off? Those look almost black in the picture

They are standard belts, very dark blue.  Two tone blue deluxe interior.  I was thinking that this part would be the same whether standard or deluxe belt, the key word being assumption.

Also AVALAIBLE: 67 Mustang BLACK DASH PAD, factory original, above average condition, not shrunk, has mounting Studs, not faded some scratches in the grain.

ALSO NEED: San Jose FIREWALL PAD, for with AC, I can use for w/o AC too, mine behind the AC unit is OK so I need one good from center of dash, going towards LEFT
