69 antenna question
« on: April 13, 2010, 08:52:03 PM »
Im trying to determine if the antenna on my Mach is original. Its a teardrop with retangular base, the base mounts with screws and locating pips, the chrome cover is held on by a threaded collet and the mast will detach from the base exposing a 1" splined stub. Also the coax will reach the radio without an extension. Its a Jan built Dearborn car. A photo of a teardrop antenna would be appreaciated.

In this posting is a picture of a NOS radio kit with an antenna.  http://www.428cobrajet.org/forum/index.php?topic=2547.105

And another.  http://www.428cobrajet.org/forum/index.php?topic=11916.0

I have an added question for this post.  What is the collapsed length for a correct antenna for a 69/70?
