Title: 70 Boss Carb?

We had a guy stop in yesterday wanting to sell a carb. But of course didn't know what he wanted for it. He said it was of a 70 Boss 302. Near as I can see it is, but just wanted to post it as I am by no means close to being an expert. The stamp on the carb is DOZF-9510Z below that is LIST-4653 and below that is 992.  The carb tag is DOZF Z  A 9JB. Any more info and I can get it from him...Thanks

The stampings all seem to line up - but a few words of warning. There are reproductions out there with the main bodies stamped and dated correctly as are the carb tags (reproduced)  They can or may have been modified over the years (bowls and metering blocks changed out) or holes and mounts stripped so check out the carb carefully if your thinking of purchasing it

He was in here more or less wanting to know what it is worth, we've known the guy all our lives. I believe it it an original carb. It was on a Cuda that has been sitting in his friends garage and they are now freshening it up. Pulled the carb off and it was a Ford carb. If it is an original do you have any idea what its worth?

I am terrible with value of parts or cars - too anchored in the past when the prices were not so high. Would suggest that you scan through EBay and the Boss 302 site to get a feel for the current value. The differences will come in when comparing how complete, condition and dating, but it show get you in the range
