Title: Paint & Plating Finishes 4 70 Dearborn Boss 302
Post by: skunk95 on May 08, 2014, 11:46:44 PM
I have a 1970 Boss302 build in November 1969 in Dearborn. I need to know the paint & plating finishes for the following

Hood catch
Hood hinges
Tower/Export brace
Shock upper mounts
Upper Radiator support
Upper radiator saddle
Front sway bar
Rear sway bar

I know some are phosphate but don't know if its light, medium or dark. The black painted parts don't look the same as the engine bay paint in photos i have seen. not looking for this to be exact, just want to be close.

Thanks

Graham

I have a 1970 Boss302 build in November 1969 in Dearborn. I need to know the paint & plating finishes for the following

Phosphate & oil for the following.  Mine always come out a medium color - careful on the heat and cooling with the hood springs

Hood catch
Hood hinges
Shock upper mounts

Shock Tower/Export brace - Slop gray (listed in the FAQ of this section of the site ;)

Are these not  the same parts? - Semi-gloss black
Upper Radiator support
Upper radiator saddle

Both of the following semi- gloss black
Front sway bar
Rear sway bar
