Hi all, my 70 Boss 302 does not seem to have the U shaped bracket for the tire inflator bottle. A pic is below. It is a Metuchen built car. How can the bottle be secured with this set up.

This should help answer your question

Often these get all bent up with the owners slamming the spare in and out of the trunk/mount with no bottle in place ;)

Thanks Jeff, I assume that I could buy a new bracket and just fit the U piece rather than take the existing piece out?

Believe so just attach it like the factory did and you should be good to go

Thanks Jeff, appreciated

Mwizz, I've got a reproduction bracket that I purchased for my '69 Mach 1 but never used. I found out after I bought it that my car came with a full-sized spare, not a space saver. I'll let the bracket go at a good price if you're interested. It came from NPD.
