I'm seeing some early 64.5 Dearborn cars with the dimpled firewall pad like the San Jose style. Anyone with an original Dearborn car built during the month of April '64, please let me know what style it has?
Thanks

Not the best picture :( But here is a shot of the firewall pad that was on 5F07F1279xx. What WAS a fairly nice original car that recently got modified

Did the firewall pad get saved?! Guess the dimpled variety was used on early Dearborn cars. Just needed a little more confirmation from what I have seen.

Charles,
Admittedly, these photos are not from a car as early as yours but they are from a Dearborn car built 9 months later.
Hope they are of help.

Decided to install the dimpled style, saw several early cars in the same VIN range with that style.
Thanks for the input!

Must be nice to have such a vast stash of pads that you can pick the one you want! ;D Wish I could find just one in good enough condition to use.

Well, to be honest, the best one I had was a dimpled pad, lol.
