Title: Backup light grounding location, 66 convertible
Post by: trucktricksdon on October 01, 2012, 06:32:45 PM
Can someone tell me where the ground for the reverse lights is hooked up on a 11/66 Dearborn convertible C code? Seems I remember it hooked to one of the tailight mounting studs, but not sure which one.....

I'm assuming an 11/65 build date, in any case, the ground point is the lower outer stud for the tail light housing, with a number 10 external tooth lock washer (34903-S36) and 10-24 hex nut (34053-S36), both gold zinc plated. Only the washer is available in gold zinc from AMK. I have both. PM me if interested.

Thanks very much. Yes my mistake, 11/65 build date. I still have the original fasteners but I need to evaluate whether they are nice enough to put back on. They have been in a bag for 2 years, I need to dig them out soon. If I need them I'll let you know. Thanks again.
