Title: Fuel line
Post by: bbs428 on April 27, 2012, 03:37:54 PM
Hey all,

Did a search on the steel fuel line from the tank and had no joy as to the final finish of the steel line.  Sorry if the topic has been addressed already.
I'm not sue as to clean it up and install all shiny and new looking after the sound deadener is applied, or to install it before the sound deadener so they get a bit on the line.
Did they have any paint on them?

Also, exactly when in the build did the hard fuel lines get installed.  That would clarify things alot.

A pic would be appreciated but not necessary.  :)

Thanks!!!

Just to make sure but I understand you asking about the long fuel line attached to the floor of a San Jose built Mach I and the sound deadener your asking about is the extra sound deadener applied to the floors of a Mach I.

The rear wheelwell sound deadener was applied before body color and before the fuel line as installed.  The Mach I sound deadener applied to the floor  and  the sound deadener applied to the front wheelwell was applied after the fuel line was installed

Yes, I was talking about both fuel hard lines on a San Jose mach 1.

Just what I needed to know.

Thanks!!  :)
