Title: Coupe Rear Seat Divider Felt

I got the Scott Drake rear seat divider C7ZZ-6545728 from CJ Pony Parts.
Here are my thoughts compared to what came out of the car.
1. Wrong color  The one in the car was almost black this one is a very light gray.
2.  Quite a bit thinner.  The original was thick.
3.  Some minor stamping diffrence

On closer examination I dont think mine is that bad so I am going to try to fix it.  I think I will glue some fabric to the back side of the rips to kind of hold it together.  The missing material at the bottom I think will be hidden.  Here are some pictures of the damage:

Yours didn't have the plastic layer?

Can't remember what year they started that (67 or 68?)

If yours had the layer you could just reapply the plastic layer to help reinforce the original. Just did that on a 71 version - used a heavy duty (read construction grade) trash can liner for that application

No, nothing that looked like it ever had plastic.  But on the side you cant see I dont know why I couldn't add it.  You used a spray adhesive?  It didn't 'melt' the plastic?

Checked my pictures and can not find a plastic lined on in 67 and 68. Found it interesting that Ford (at least at San Jose) returned to the press board/cardboard style for a while in late 67

I used spray adhesive (stuff I use for headliners) sprayed a decent layer on the padding and pressed the thick plastic layer on it. Lots of fun (get some help) trying to lay it down smoothly.
